Father's Day

I remember the first name I ever pronounced as a baby, “Daa-da!”

You told me it was grand.

When mummy would scold me and chastise me with her left hand,

I’d run to you and you’d cuddle me with your right hand. Remember?

You were to me the greatest of heroes ever liveth
You enjoyed sports but never loved the cricket

It was sad to see you taken from here to forth
But I must confess that Mom has kept the fort

Rest In Peace; am I supposed to say this?
Anyways, I just hope that you’re in eternal bliss.

Happy Father’s Day (Great to know you still have one).
