I have friends in abundance 

Daily, looking at my friend’s list, I smile and dance 

They have taught me to learn to always take a chance 

At improving my life at any slightest chance

I used to be a novice

My posts, no one ever noticed 

Everyone treated me like an ex-convict

When I am not an alcoholic; not an addict

Gradually, I surrounded myself with visionaries

Some of them are missionaries 

While others have bagged their Doctorate

I am no longer a victim of circumstances and fate
Though, my growth rate, some wanted to retard

I told them, “Taaaa, you’re just my bodyguard!”

Good friends I have made over the years

In whom I derive succour from my wasted tears

I love you for loving me

Appreciation is all I have and I serve to you like a meal 

Kindly, take it from me

I promise to double my love for you with a zeal

You are my friend and an asset.
